研究方向为网络空间实体对象智慧传感、建立知识图谱、搜索与大数据处理、下一代无线通信协议、异构网络、分布式系统、组播通信、多媒体通信等领域。在Anycast (选播) 路由协议研究领域和网络匹配方面进行了先驱性的研究。取得了诸多国内外领先的研究成果。近年在顶级国际杂志和学术会议上发表论文近400篇。曾被多个权威国际会议邀请做大会主题演讲。在相关领域的权威国际期刊(ACM/IEEE TON, IEEE TPDS、IEEE TC、 IEEE TM等)和高水平的国际学术会议上(CCS、WiSec、MobiHoc、SenSys、ICDCS、INFOCOM等)上发表学术论文多篇,撰写了专著2部 (其中“Distributed Network Systems”由Springer出版),还参与了12部书籍的撰写。


His research interests include cyber-space smart sensing and big data association; next generation IoT and wireless communication; protocols and heterogeneous networks; distributed systems, multicast and anycast QoS routing protocols. In these fields, he has ~400 publications in the prestige international journals (IEEE Transactions, e.g., ToN, TPDS, TC, TMC etc.), books/chapters and refereed international conference proceedings (e.g. ACM CCS, WiSec, MobiHoc, SenSys, IEEE ICDCS, INFOCOM etc.). He (with W. Zhou) has published a book “Distributed Network Systems” by Springer where the book contains extensive research materials and implementation examples. 




82-84年学习并毕业于中南大学计算机科学系,获工学学士以及硕士学位;84-87年留校;87至88年任加拿大渥太华大学计算机科学系访问学者;88年回国任中南大学讲师;92年至93年在比利时蒙斯理工学院攻读博士并于93年8月获博士学位。



Weijia Jia received BSc and MSc from Center South University, China in 1982 and 1984 respectively. He was awarded Master of Applied Science and PhD from Polytechnic Faculty of Mons, Belgium in 1992 and 1993 respectively, all in Computer Science.





93年8月至95年8在德国国家信息科学中心(GMD)做博士后;95年8月起历任香港城市大学计算机科学系助理教授、副教授和全职教授;2014年加入上海交通大学任全职致远讲席教授。



Prof. Weijia Jia is a Zhiyuan Chair Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Shanghai Jiaotong University. He joined German National Research Center for Information Science (GMD) in Bonn (St. Augustine) from 1993 to 1995 as a research fellow. During 1995-2013, he joined Department of Computer Science, City University of HK as a professor.

Most recent theoretical and system work on Stable Matching applied to networks: (Pioneers of this research were awarded 2012 Noble Prize on Economics). "Cyclic Stable Matching for Three-sided Networking Services", Computer Networks–Review comments: Specific kinds of network systems involve three agents, …their interaction is a three-dimensional matching problem with cyclic preferences. … Show the NP-hardness of the general problem and give efficient algorithms finding stable solutions for a restricted setting…” and “A Novel Mutual Preference Based Admission Control Mechanism for Hybrid Femtocells System”, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology.
