Institute of System Security
The System Security Institute houses two specialized laboratories: the Network and System Security Laboratory, and the Mobile, IoT & Satellite Network Security Laboratory. Its key research areas include software and system security, network vulnerability detection and analysis, 5G/6G mobile communication security, space cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence security.
In recent years, the Institute has served as the principal organization for more than 50 research projects at or above the provincial and ministerial level, including the National Key R&D Program, key military equipment development programs, and general and youth projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. It has been awarded 6 scientific and technological progress awards at the national and provincial-ministerial levels, and has published over 100 papers in top international academic journals and conferences in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.
The Institute conducts cutting-edge research in software and firmware vulnerability discovery, network threat detection and analysis, and cyberspace resource reconnaissance, addressing the critical demands of national cybersecurity. It has received numerous letters of commendation and performance verification from government and national defense institutions.
A large number of master’s and doctoral students educated at the Institute serve as captains and core members of 0ops, the university’s prestigious CTF (Capture The Flag) team, which has won multiple awards in top-tier international and domestic CTF competitions and vulnerability exploitation contests.
