Guoxing Chen is a tenure-track associate professor at the School of Computer Science, Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU). Before joining SJTU in March 2021, he worked as a research scientist at Facebook, Inc. He received his Ph.D. degree from The Ohio State University in 2019, where he was advised by Prof. Ten H. Lai, Prof. Dong Xuan and Prof. Yinqian Zhang. He obtained his master's and bachelor's degrees from SJTU in 2013 and 2010, respectively. His research interests are in the areas of computer security and privacy, with a focus on system security, side channels, and data privacy. His work has been published in top-tier conferences, including IEEE S&P, ACM CCS, USENIX Security, and NDSS.
