Recently, China Computer Federation (CCF) released the awards list of the 2021 Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award. This year, 10 doctoral dissertations recommended by universities around the country won the award as a recognition of their innovation and academic influence and 7 got nominated. Niu Chaoyue, CS Phd graduate of 2021, won the award. And Chen Lu, CS Phd graduate of 2018, was nominated. 

Niu Chaoyue was advised by Prof. Wu Fan. He is now working as a Postdoc at the CS Department of SJTU. His research interests include data sharing and exchange, mobile intelligent computing, privacy protection. His findings have been published in A-level conferences and journals, such as MobiCom, KDD, TDSC and TKDE. He has published eight long papers as the first author. 

His dissertation is titled PRIVACY PRESERVING AND VERIFIABLE DATA SHARING IN INTERNET OF THINGS.

Set up in 2006, the Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award of China Computer Federation is presented to those who have made important breakthrough in basic theory or applied basic research, or important innovation in key technology or applied technology in computer science and technology or related areas. It is the most influential doctoral dissertation award in computer science in China.
