Prof. Lai Xuejia Elected Fellow of the IACR

On May 11, the International Association for Cryptologic Research (IACR) announced the 2020 list of IACR Fellow. Prof. Lai Xuejia was recognized as a fellow for his fundamental contributions to research in symmetric-key cryptography, and for service to the IACR.

 

 

 

The IACR is the most authoratative international organization for scientific research in the field of cryptography. It’s a non-profit organization devoted to supporting the promotion of the science of cryptology. Ever since 2004, IACR has been electing 2 to 7 fellows every year to honor those who make outstanding contributions to cryptography-related research. By far there are 79 fellows worldwide, including 9 Turing Award Laureates.

 

Prof. Lai is the third Chinese scientist to be named IACR Fellow, following Turing Award Laureate, academician Prof. Andrew Chi-Chih Yao in 2010 and academician Prof. Xiaoyu Wang in 2019.
