On May 7, Elsevier, a world-leading provider of scientific, technical and medical information products and services, unveiled its 2019 list of Chinese Most Cited Researchers, recognizing 2163 scholars from 242 universities/institutes/enterprises . Prof. Jia Weijia and Prof. Lu Hongtao entered the list.

The "Chinese Most Cited Researchers" list aims to scientifically analyze and evaluate the global influence of Chinese researchers promoting academic advances. A paper's citation frequency is one of the most important indexes that is used to evaluate the author's contribution and influence in the corresponding academic field. Elsevier uses statistics from Scopus and methods from ShanghaiRanking Consultancy to systematically analyze the global influence of Chinese scholars.
