On May 31, SJTU-Versa Computer Science and AI Joint Lab Unveiled. The ceremony was commenced in Haoran High-Tech Building in the Xuhui Campus.

The ceremony was attended by Prof. Li Weidong of SJTU Office of Research Management, Su Yuezeng, Secretary of the Party Committee of School of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering, Prof. Zhang Liqing, Secretary of Party general branch of Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Director of Joint Lab as well as personnel of Versa, including founder and CEO Cai Tianyi.

Li Weidong emphasized the importance of AI technology in modern research. For SJTU and Versa, this cooperation is an important opportunity to take leadership in development of global computer science and technology. He expressed his hopes for the Laboratories to become one of world's best AI research institutions, under the collaborative efforts of SJTU and Versa.

SJTU-Versa Computer Science and AI Laboratories is an innovative platform for theoretical research, commercialization of research findings and training of high-technology personnel in accordance with standards of Shanghai.
