On December 26, President of the Muroran Institute of Technology KUGA Yoshikazu visited our department together with other representatives for the signing of the cooperative agreement. Head of the CS Department Prof. Guo Minyi, deputy head Prof. Zhang Liqing, deputy head Prof. Cao Jian, Prof. Lu Bao-liang, associate Prof. Zhu Haojin and associate Prof. Zhu Hongzi attended the signing ceremony.

Prof. Guo and President Kuga introduced the general situation of the two sides respectively. Located in the city of Muroran of Hokkaido, Muroran Institute of Technology has a long history and is one of the five national industrial universities of Japan. It is especially excellent in the field of information, engineering and architecture. 

On behalf of the CS Department of SJTU and the Muroran Institute of Technology respectively, Prof. Guo and President Kuga signed the cooperative agreement for academic communication and the Memorandum of Understanding on Student Exchange. The agreement aims for the promotion of international understanding and the exchange of academic and educational information between the two institutions.
