On the afternoon of April 18, 2016, the ceremony for the 2015 Award for Scientific and Technological Progress of Shanghai was held at the Friendship Hall at Shanghai Exhibition Center by the Municipal party committee and the municipal government of Shanghai. The award was given to scientists and scholars as recognition of their outstanding contribution to the scientific innovation, economic and social development of Shanghai. 34 achievements from SJTU were awarded, ten of which won the first prize. 

“Security Analysis of Cryptographic Chips and the Research and Application of Key Protection Technologies” completed by Prof. Dawu Gu (the first author) won the first prize of the 2015 Award for Scientific and Technological Progress of Shanghai.
